Check out http://pipedreams.publicradio.org/listings/2011/1123/ after noon on June 6, to hear my first appearance on national radio! I will be featured playing two pieces, The World Awaiting the Saviour, from Marcel Dupré's Symphonie-Passion, Op. 23, and Johannes Brahms' Fugue in a-flat minor.
In 2009, Vaught was one of twenty quarter-finalists in the AGO National Young Artist in Organ Performance competition (NYACOP). In 2010, she was a finalist in the Fort Wayne National Organ Competition, won 2nd prize in the Arthur Poister National Organ Competition, and 3rd prize in the Clarence Mader National Organ Competition. In 2011, she won 3rd prize in the John Rodland Scholarship competition. Vaught was recently selected to compete in the Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition to be held in September in Kaliningrad, Russia.
Vaught also maintains an active performing career, with recent appearances at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Tucson, Arizona and on the Malmgren Concert Series at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Upcoming recital engagements include the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
